This famous quote by Oscar Wilde speaks true as fashion is a work of art. Any great designer considers their work an artform and Holahan Designs made sure to give us wearable-art with their swimwear. Every time that I have worn my “Bubbles” bikini, I have received many questions about the design and have been told it looks like an artist made it. The print is actually a photograph of an original design by Roxanne Holahan (as seen in photo.) She makes art with Czech glass beads, Swarvoski crystals and sequins which was used for the fun and colorful fabric of the “Bubbles” line. It’s an earth-friendly fabric with a unique design like no other.
You will also find a beautiful bikini and stunning one-piece with a Koi Fish design on the Holahan website. At the 2018 Orlando Surf Expo, I was able to see in person how these fish are literally painted on the swimsuit for proper placing and design. I snapped a few photos of these interesting JP Holahan suits and shared on social media as if I was in an art gallery. Both the new and old “Koi” designs were a hit with my friends. These pieces really stand out as different, artistic and fashionable.
Fashion forward and glamourous is one way to describe the Mai Tai bandeau one-piece. It is an original design by JP Holahan. It was inspired by the late Versace and allows you to show off your fashion sense by wearing it multiple ways. And, these are just a few examples of the fashionable art you can wear with JP Holahan Designs. As Miuccia Prada says, “Fashion is instant language.” Choose wisely!
